Events at Loster Pod Bistro

We have multiple options available to host your event. Including full exclusive hire of the entire venue (including pods and cain), all of the pods, or just the cabin.

Our Cabin can fit 36 on bench-seating with room for up to 44 with sofa and standing guests. We also have an area that you can additionally hire containing 3 pods and 2 outside benches (enough for 28 people). This whole area can be marked off with signs for Private Hire.

To hire the area for your function, we require a minimum number of 20 people with a maximum of 70. The function will be split between the Cabin and three pods for larger groups or remain in the cabin if numbers under 44.

Hire is only available when purchasing food and a minimum spend is required. Minimum spend is based on the duration of time required, which day of the week, what time of day and which season. Therefore all pricing is bespoke for each booking and a deposit of 20% is required to hold the booking.

Food and Drink

Please email the Lobster Pod bistro to discuss your food and drink arrangements with the General Manager.

We can offer sit down dining (max 36 in the cabin) or a buffet style option, reccommended for larger groups.

Drinks can be pre-ordered and laid out on a table for your guests to help themselves with our staff around to assist as needed. Alternatively, your guests can obtain and pay for their own drinks at the bar.


The Cabin can be hired for any time during normal opening hours.

. The hire charge is waived during the winter (November to just before Easter). The Lobster Pod closes for maintenance in January and early February.

Booking your function

To book your function, please email us with details of your required date, time and party size.

Please park in the public car park next to the Hope and Anchor: the Cottage Hotel car park is for Hotel guests only. If leaving the Lobster Pod late at night, please respect the residents of Hope Cove and keep noise to a minimum.
