South Devon’s new place to eat
Coronavirus status
Dear Lobster Pod Customers
Thank you for your kind support and custom over the last few months in these rather difficult times.
We are currently closed with the lockdown and we are in the process of advising customers who are booked-in for December and January that we have just recently made a decision to close the Lobster Pod Bistro until the lockdown eases.
Unfortunately, the worries of the current Covid situation, which we hoped would ease, have forced this decision. There are more cases in our local area and we feel the risk is too great. The safety of our customers and staff must be a priority.
This decision has not been easy, however we feel it is too much of a risk and responsibility to open the Bistro with customers from all over the UK, especially with the shorter days and Winter weather not enabling our lovely outside space to be used. The festive season is always a sociable one and we feel we would be unable to provide a memorable experience for our customers and it would be difficult to maintain social distancing with the normal festive Christmas 'spirit'. We are sorry we may have disappointed you; however we do hope that you understand our decision.
May we take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and let's hope that 2021 will be more optimistic with the vaccine on the horizon. We have considered everyone's safety: it has been a tough decision to make.
We look forward to the opportunity to welcoming you when we are able to re-open the Bistro.
Kind regards from all of the Lobster Pod Team
